Promotion and Winging Ceremony

Emily Wallis, daughter of RAE‘s Director of Transition, Lars Wallis, graduated from Penn State in May 2010 as an Aerospace Engineer. She began flight school in September 2010 after spending the summer learning about PEO Carriers acquisition.  She was one of the last T-34C students in Primary fix wing before they retired the aircraft at NAS Whiting.   She selected helicopter training following in the footsteps of her dad and more so her mom.  She was winged at the 2012 Navy Helicopter Association Convention in Norfolk, VA by her mom on 15 May with the wings Lars received at his winging 35 years ago.  She’ll be stationed at NAS Norfolk, VA and will be flying the MH-53E.
